100th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

This year’s Annual General Meeting of the Gloucestershire Lawn Tennis Association will be held on Wednesday December 11th at Oxstall’s Indoor Tennis Centre, Plock Court, Tewkesbury Road, Gloucester at 7.30 p.m.

NOMINATIONS

1. Nominations for the position of Honorary President, Honorary Secretary, and Honorary Treasurer for the ensuing year may be nominated with his or her consent by:

(i). The Council of the Association.

(ii). By any member club of the Association, provided any nominations, duly seconded by another Club of the Association.

All nominations must be in writing and must be received by the Honorary Secretary not less than seven (7) clear days before the Annual General Meeting.

2. Nominations are required from Member Clubs for eight, (8) Council Representatives.

Mrs Joan Griffiths and Mr Darryl Wheeler have to retire under the Association’s ‘two year rule’.

Member Clubs can nominate up to two (2) candidates who must be seconded by a second Club. Nominations in writing must be received by the Honorary Secretary in writing not less than seven clear days before the Annual General Meeting.

3. Nominations are required for a Representative from the Gloucestershire Schools’ Tennis Association for the ensuing year.

Any Member School may nominate one representative who should be duly seconded by a second Member School. All nominations must be made in writing and received by the Honorary Secretary not less than seven (7) clear days before the Annual General Meeting.

4. Nominations are required for a Representative from the following:

(i)The Gloucestershire Tennis League.

(ii)The Gloucestershire Coaches Association.

(iii)The Senior Men’s Tennis Team.

(iv)The Senior Ladies’ Tennis Team.

You are reminded that The Council or directly affiliated Clubs may bring forward any motion at the Annual General Meeting provided, in the case of affiliated Clubs, that due notice thereof has been given to the Honorary Secretary on or before the first day of October each year.

The Association’s Review and Reports for 2002, Minutes of last year’s AGM, along with the Nominations & Agenda for this year’s AGM will be forwarded in November.
